William R. Estep Sr.

Corning, NY - William R. Estep Sr, 86, of Corning, NY, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at home.

Bill was born December 3, 1932, in Corning, NY, the son of Howard . and Catherine (Beach) Estep. He was a graduate of Corning Free Academy. Bill and Charlotte (Youmans) Estep were married October 10, 1959 in the Redeemer Church in Corning.

Bill retired from Dresser-Rand with over 40 years as an inspector. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed camping on Little Lake at Lake Grove Park.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Charlotte Estep of Corning; children, William R. (Teresa) Estep Jr. of Endicott, Wendy (John) Pritchett of Tioga, PA; brother, Howard (Brenda) Estep of Lindley; grandchildren, Lauren Estep, Connor Estep and Coralyn Pritchett; sister-in-law, Karen Estep of Big Flats, sister-in-law, Laura Link of Horseheads; brother-in-law, Donald (Carol) Youmans; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers, Martin Estep, Leland Estep, James Estep and Floyd Estep.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at Acly-Stover Funeral Home, from 11 am to 1 pm. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jennifer Long officiating. Burial will be in Barnard Cemetery.
