Timothy H. Rose, age 66, of Lindley, NY, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024, at Guthrie Hospital in Corning, NY. He was born in Corning, NY, on September 23, 1957, to Laverne D. Rose Jr. and Joanne E. Rose.
Tim retired from the Town of Erwin in 2019, where he worked as an MEO. During his free time, he enjoyed working on hot rods, fabricating, and house projects with his son and brother. Many of his talents he proudly learned from his father.
In his younger years, Tim cherished his time at the lake, whether it was riding minibikes, skiing, swimming, fishing, or snowmobiling. He was a man of many talents, who often looked at things from a different approach. Fixing and creating came natural to him. He could do it all.
Above all, Tim loved being a father and spending time with his family, often reminiscing about shared memories. Together they enjoyed summertime camping, attending car shows, and even having a few cold ones... If you were with Tim, you knew the laughs were sure to come. He always made sure that his children were put first and never went without. He was there at every ball game, ceremony, and celebration. He was the first person you could call with good or bad news, knowing that he always had your back and would point you in the right direction. He taught his children to be kind, thoughtful, respectful, and most recently, the importance of perseverance.
Tim was predeceased by his father, Laverne D. Rose Jr. He leaves behind his mother, Joanne E. Rose; his loving partner, Tina; his children, Cody (Danielle, Nora) and Chelsea; his cherished grandson, Callum (“little man”); his brothers, Dan (Deb) Rose and Scott (Lisa) Rose; his former wife and friend, Cindy; several nieces and nephews; and Tina’s children, Jolene (Nivek) and Sierra (Carson).
Per Tim’s request, there will be no calling hours. A private celebration of life will be held at the family’s discretion. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Josh Palmer Fund, a local nonprofit that aids cancer patients and their families.
