Shelley A. Morse (Carlson), 56, of Campbell, NY went home to be with the Lord, on January 10, 2022, surrounded by family at Robert Packer Hospital. Shelley was born in Elmira, NY on January 17, 1965 to John F. Carlson and Barbara A. Carlson (Taft). Shelley was the oldest of three children. Shelley graduated Class of 1983 from Campbell High School. Shelley was a former employee of Guthrie Corning Hospital for 26 years. She was most recently employed by Corning Building Company.
Growing up Shelley enjoyed riding horses and spending time at the Cleveland and Synder farms. Shelley also enjoyed riding around in the Army trucks with her father while he was in the National Guard. Shelley was the proud fire chief of Thurston Fire Company and had numerous years in the fire service. Shelley enjoyed driving the Tanker truck and earned the nickname “One Load Shelley.” Shelley enjoyed going to the local racetrack and watching her son, Christopher race. Shelley loved to cheer on her children and grandchildren at every sporting event. She was also a member of the Thurston Christian Church.
Shelley is survived by her long term significant other, Silas Sheerer, and two children, Christopher (Sarah) Woodard and Alisha (Michael) Share, all of Campbell, NY. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Adelaide Woodard and Peyton Share and her adopted grandchildren Kaydynce and Ryder Robertson. She is also survived by her two brothers, Jeff (Brittany) Carlson of Addison, NY and David (Jackie) Carlson of Corning, NY and Uncle Robert Carlson, Waterport, NY. In addition she is survived by nephews and a niece: Jacob and Jade Hofstetter, Jonathan and Braden Carlson, and many cousins, including her close cousin, Tammi Seeley. Shelley is predeceased by her mother and father (Barbara and John), maternal grandparents (Elaine Butler Taft and Harry Taft), paternal grandparents (Adelaide Blim Carlson and Robert Carlson), and two children.
Funeral services will be held at the new Campbell Fire Station at 8766 State Route 415 Campbell, NY on Sunday January 23, 2022. Calling hours will be held 1-3 p.m. with a funeral service and fireman’s service to follow. Flowers should be sent to Campbell Fire Station.
