Samantha Dimmick Obituary

Samantha D. Dimmick, age 29, of Painted Post NY passed away on Tuesday December 18, 2018.

Samantha was born on September 16th 1989 in Corning, NY. The Daughter of Kathy and Richard (Wood) Dimmick.

Samantha was a graduate Corning Painted Post West High School in 2006. She then received her certified nursing assistant degree from corning community college in 2007. She worked for many years at Absolut Care of Three Rivers as well as many other area nursing homes.

She had an unbelievable passion for caring for others and loved working with the elderly. Samantha was an organ donor who will still continue to help others. Sam was an animal lover who was all taking in new pets, she enjoyed fishing and most importantly she loved being with her family and friends.

Samantha is survived by her parents Kathy (David Smith) of Painted Post, NY Richard (Martha Trenchard) of Bath, NY. Her siblings Melissa (Steffanie Windows), Skylar Dimmick and Daniel Dimmick all of Painted Post, NY. Her adopted children with Melissa Gray Makiaya Lopez, William Carey and Nicole Straight of Elmira, NY. Her Aunts Cynthia Dimmick (John) of Bath, NY, Dedra Thompson (Danny) of Southport, NY, and Susan Wood of Corning, NY. Her nephew Kole Windows of Painted Post, and many other relatives, as well as many friends.

A memorial service will be held December 28th, 2018 at the Corning Moose Lodge in Painted Post NY, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m..

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made in Samantha's honor to a college fund for her nephew (Kole Windows) or to the SPCA.
