Ronald E. Huckabone

Ronald E. "Ron" Huckabone, 83, of Bath, NY passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, June 15, 2025.

Ron was born in Kane, PA on July 9, 1941, the son of George and Erma (Dyne) Huckabone.

After retiring as a Mental Health worker, Ron pursued his passion of preaching the gospel by serving for a time as pastor of the Savona Federated Church and the community at Lakeview Apartments.

Ron was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend who loved to sing, solve puzzles, and crack jokes.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years Lura (Brown) Huckabone, his children Randy Huckabone, Ronda DiDio, Laurence (Michelle) Morey, Russell (Kate) Morey, his grandchildren Ryan DiDio, Tara Morey, Matthew Morey, Emily Martinez, Anna Tamang, Joy Morey, Bethany Morey, great granddaughter Isla Martinez, and his brother Robert Huckabone.  His legacy of love will live on in each of them.

Ron is predeceased by his parents George and Erma (Dyne) Huckabone; siblings Betty Jane, Margaret, Bertha, Gladys, Raymond, William, Paul, and granddaughter Erica.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Savona Federated Church in Savona, NY from 1:00-2:00 p.m. immediately followed by a celebration of his life.

Ron has always had a heart for others, and the biggest thing that was on his heart in his final days was supporting the work God is doing in Nepal where his granddaughter Anna serves as a missionary full time.
