Robert M. Hooper, Jr., known to many as "Hoop," passed away on April 13, 2026, at the age of 70.

Born on July 20, 1955, Robert served honorably in the U.S. Navy for four years, earning four accommodations for his dedication and service to his country.

He was a devoted husband to Debra Hooper for 40 years. Together, they built a life full of shared memories. Robert was the proud father of four sons, Jesse, Jeffrey, Jason, and Jamie, their wives and a grandfather to seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In his spare time, Robert had a passion for collecting, with a particular interest in historic memorabilia from his hometown of Corning, NY. He loved visiting flea markets, often going almost every week, in search of unique items to add to his collection. His passion for collecting reflected both his love for history and his deep connection to the place he called home.

Robert’s life was defined by a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to both his family and his country. He will be remembered for his straightforward nature, his sense of duty, and his quiet strength.
