Robert R. Legendre

Horseheads, NY - Robert R. Legendre, age 83, passed away December 15, 2018, at the Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility.

He was born December 17, 1934, in Auburn, Maine, the son of Joseph and Alice (Bergeron) Legendre. He is survived by his daughter, Diane Legendre, son-in-law, James Webb, grandsons, Luke and Nathan, his sister Rose Marie Marcotte, and several nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his loving wife of 48 years, Irene E. (Leclerc) Legendre and his sister Louise Tardif.

Robert graduated from Edward Little High School in Auburn, Maine. He owned Lewiston Brassworks Inc., in Lewiston, Maine until his retirement. He lived a life filled with faith, love, charity and humor. He was very active with Saint Patrick's Church Choir in Lewiston Maine, singing at countless masses, weddings, and funerals.

He spent his twilight years in Corning, New York, enjoying time with his grand children, keeping up on New England sports teams, attending the Symphony of the Southern Finger Lakes, and time with friends at Bethany Courtyards.

A Memorial service will be held at Bethany Courtyards in Horseheads on Saturday December 22 at 2:00 pm. There will be no calling hours.
