Robert Elliott Sr.
March 17, 1948 - June 21, 2026
Robert "Bob" Elliott Sr. died Sunday, June 21, 2026. In his final days, Bob was surrounded by his loving family and died peacefully holding his wife's hand.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Rebecca Elliott. He leaves behind his loving children, Lorene Kimble (Steven), Bobbi Elliott-Horn (Kevin Gerow), and Robert Elliott Jr. (Lisa Orcutt-Elliott), all of Corning, New York.
He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Heather Grant (Matthew), Bret Kimble, Kelsea Kimble, Jacob Horn, Joseph Horn, Jarryd Horn (Stephanie), Cheyenne Elliott, Robert Elliott, Kristina Elliott, Morgan Elliott, and Aleigha Elliott. He was also blessed with many cherished great-grandchildren: Adriana Cranney, Brooklyn Cranney, Cecilia Grant, Silas Way, Julia Rebecca Horn, Lydia Danielle Horn, Miles Thompkins, Jace Thompkins, Colton Storm, and Millie Elliott.
Bob is also survived by his brother, Arthur R. Elliott; his faithful feline companion, Mikey; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his daughter, Kristina Louise Elliott, Bob was predeceased by his father, Arthur E. Elliott, and his grandparents, Samuel and Florence Elliott.
He worked at the Corning Hospital from 1967 until his retirement. Bob was a naturally gifted singer and guitarist who's love of music brought joy to family, friends and anyone fortunate enough to hear him. Whether playing music, sharing stories or spending time with those he loved, he had a way of making everyone feel welcome. Bob greeted everyone with a smile, warm demeanor and gentle soul. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor and devotion to his family. Although Bob is no longer with us, his family is left with so many meaningful memories of their time spent with him and his legacy will live on through those who love him.
A celebration of Bob's life will be announced at a later date.
