Richard T. “Dick” Faulisi, 87, of Corning, New York, entered into eternal rest on April 10, 2026.

Born on May 3, 1938, in Corning, Dick was a lifelong member of the community he proudly served.

He graduated from Northside High School in 1956 and soon after enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving honorably from 1956 to 1960.

In 1960, Dick went on to serve the City of Corning Police Department with distinction, rising through the ranks to become Chief of Police.

On December 2, 1961, Dick married the love of his life, the former Helene O’Brien. Together, they built a life centered on family, dedication, and enduring love.

Throughout his career, he was known for his leadership, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of his community. He retired in 2000, leaving behind a lasting legacy of service.

Committed to both service and education, Dick also earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Elmira College in 1976, graduating cum laude—a reflection of his strong work ethic and dedication to his profession.  He was also known for his sharp wit and sense of humor, bringing laughter and light to those around him. Whether among family, friends, or colleagues, Dick had a way of making people feel at ease and valued.

Dick was predeceased by his parents, A. Joseph and Abby (Dull) Faulisi; his brothers Frank (and sister-in- law Elizabeth), Vincent (Suzanne), and Ronald (Dee) and Ronald’s first wife, Faith.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Helene; his children, Stephen and Susan (Elmer) Eaton both of Corning; grandchildren, Danielle (Brian) Darcangelo of Jacksonville, N.C., Anthony (Chelsea) Faulisi of Elmira, Alana Eaton, Abigail Eaton and Dominick Aumick all from Corning; and his greatgrandchildren, Oliver, Luke, and Austin Darcangelo, and Braysen and Lorenzo Faulisi, along with many extended family members, friends, and former colleagues who will miss him dearly.
