Pierce "Mickey" A. Young

Mr. Pierce “Mickey” Young, 85, of Corning, NY received his last call to duty on Saturday, September 26, 2021 at his home.

Mickey was born September 27, 1935 in Brownsville, Tennessee. The son of the late Mansel and late Everlina Harris Young.

He was a US veteran serving in the Army.  Mickey loved spending time with his veteran buddies and cooking for them.

He was a retired Cab Driver from Max Cab in Corning, NY.

Mickey was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Hubbard and a brother, Sammie Lewis Young.

Mickey is survived by his sister and children whom  are left to cherish his memory. His sister Katherine (John) Light, His children, Carolyn Nixon, Pierce (Lillian) Young, Evonne L. Young, Mary Katherine (Tyrell) Williamson, S.N.Y.G. (L.G.), Shauna Maurovard, Grandchildren, Dr. Shaundeidra Bradford, Shawna Bradford, Pierce Bradford, Shatoya Bradford, Traveon Young, Tierra Ruffin, Travis Young, Taja Young, Timothy Young, Kimaiyan Young, Joseph J. Primes, Jimmy L. Primes Jr., Jordan W. Primes, Jarrett A. Primes, Daquane M. Young, Jonathan D. Stuart, Marinica K. Williamson, M.G., Amber Maurovard, Rylee Maurovard, as well as, a host of Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. Jimmy L. Primes, Sr. (Former Son-in-law) and Pat Smith (Special Family Friend). 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Acly-Stover Funeral Home. A Memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will take place at the Bath National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
