Phyllis Canfield Demyan

Phyllis Canfield Demyan, age 83, of Big Flats, NY left this earth on her heavenly journey to join loved ones on Monday, January 22, 2022 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center.  An Angel has earned her wings.

She was born in Corning, NY on November 12, 1938 to the late Cecil C. and Marion (Scouten) Canfield.

Phyllis was a graduate of Corning Northside High School.

She retired from the New York Telephone Company in 1991.  She also worked at the Corning-Painted Post School District from 1992 until 2021. First as substitute and then she was hired at the middle school. 

Phyllis enjoyed family vacations to Lake George in New York. She also enjoyed her family and friends and loved spending time with her daughter.

She was a member of the International Association of Rebekah Assemblies.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Richard M. Demyan of Big Flats, NY and daughter Christina Demyan also of Big Flats, NY.

Services will be announced at a later date.  Burial will be in Rural Home Cemetery, Big Flats, NY.
