Pamela Elaine Woodruff Bennett

Corning, NY - Pamela Elaine Woodruff Bennett, 74, of Corning, NY passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 15, 2018 at home.

She was born February 11, 1944, in Corning, NY the daughter of William Kenneth and Wanetta Elizabeth (Woodcock) Woodruff.

She was a graduate of Corning Free Academy (Class of 1962) and Jean Summers Business School in 1963.

Pam and Wayne LaRue Bennett were married September 21, 1963, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Gibson, NY, and just recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.

Pam began her career with Corning Incorporated in 1962 at the Corning Credit Union, and later became a Re-location Specialist where she remained until she retired in 2000.
Pam also spent 20 years of dedicated service on the Town of Corning Zoning Board of Appeals, and several years as a Fire Commissioner for the Gibson Fire District.
Pam's greatest accomplishments, and joys were her family, and the unwavering love that she shown them throughout her life.

She is survived by her Husband, Wayne L. Bennett of Corning; Son, Wayne Leigh (Debra) Bennett, and their children, Derek, Laura Bennett of Corning, NY, and Matt Rhoda of Margate, FL., Son, Kenneth C. Bennett, (Julie Payne) and their children, Jessica (Husband Chris Guild) and their children, Sophia, and Jace of Corning, NY, and Justine Bennett (Husband) Chris McCawley and son, Ayden of Corning, NY, Son Timothy P. Bennett of Wauchula, FL; Brother, William L. (Donna) Woodruff of Aloha, OR; Sister-in-laws, Joanne Woodruff of Corning, Kay L. Stickler of Corning, Beverly Harrison of Beaver Dams, and Ginny Griffin of Jacksonville, NC. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Waneta and her brother, Kenneth D. Woodruff.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
