Myra Jane Meyer

Myra Jane Meyer, age 83, of Tioga, Pennsylvania left this earth on her heavenly journey to join loved ones on Monday, October 17, 2022.

Myra was born November 4, 1938 in Genesee, Pennsylvania.  She was one of six children of Joseph and Ellen (Grover) Sykora.

As a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she dedicated her life to her family.  She had previously worked as a teaching assistant at the Wellsboro Montessori Children's Center.  In her spare time she loved to sew often making costumes for her daughters, knitting, crocheting, baking, camping, fishing and volunteering her time at the Lawrenceville and Tioga Fire Departments.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters Diana Meyer of Tioga, Pennsylvania and Denise (Greg) Carter of Alabama; sisters Margaret (Joe) Eastburn of Galeton, Pennsylvania and Mary Clark of Macedon, New York; grandchildren, Lori (Mitchell), Josh (Liz), Gabby, Ariana, Allen, Danielle,  Jesse, and Shania, and six great-grandchildren.  Myra's husband, William "Bill", predeceased her and he was the love of her life. They were married on November 4, 1957 and enjoyed 42 wonderful years together. She was also predeceased by her three brothers, Carl, Tom and Jerry.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
