Millie Serdula Obituary

Mildred “Millie” Serdula (Antonacci) passed peacefully, surrounded by family, at the age of 73, on April 8, 2022.

Millie was better known as; Pizza Lady, The Legend and “Ma” to all who she welcomed into her home.

Millie was born March 16, 1949 in Corning, New York to Frank and Rose Antonacci.  She graduated from Corning-Painted Post East High School in 1967 and went on to obtain her Associates Degree as a dental hygienist and later obtained her Culinary Degree.  She married her high school sweetheart and love, Stephen “Skinny” Serdula, in January of 1969, who preceded her in death in 2004.

Millie was well known in the community as one of the originals and the “Pizza Lady” of Aniello’s pizzeria. Millie also worked as a Chef for the Radisson Hotel and Watkins Glen International.

Millie was an amazing person who loved to help any and everyone and showed in her later years as a caregiver.  She shared her love of cooking with all, from her spaghetti sauce, to her chili, and even her grilled chicken dishes for all events.

Millie will be best remembered for her Christmas Eve parties where she enjoyed a full house and loved when all her bonus children would gather every year to celebrate as a family.  She had a heart of gold and opened her home to many over the last 40 years, when they needed someone like her the most.  Mama Millie’s was the place to go!

In her later years, Millie loved taking her daughter and grandson Nicholas out for their birthday to a seafood dinner, sleepovers every Friday with her grandson Max, spoiling her granddaughters with gifts and clothes.  Millie enjoyed playing cards with her longtime friends Jeanie, Joan and Iris.  Later, she grew to love going out to Trivia nights with friends and occasionally her daughter and son Steve.  Millie was the life of the party and always looked to make sure everyone had a full stomach and full heart.

Millie is survived by her sister Francine (Paula) Antonacci, sons Steve (Heidi) Serdula, Jon (Samantha) Serdula, daughter Frankie (Jeff) Marvin, grandchildren Deven, Paige, Violet, Nicholas, Madison, Ava, Maximus, and Hadley, and numerous bonus children, all who she loved dearly.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her friends Mary Kay Nolan, Becky, Alex & Aaron Hamilton, and her son in-law Jeff Marvin for the love, support and care over the years.
