Michael Stafford

Michael Stafford, age 60, passed away peacefully after a long courageous battle with cancer at his home in Painted Post, NY on June 7, 2025.

He was the son of the late Ben E. Safford and Anne Marie Benbow Stafford.

Michael was a graduate of Corning West High School, Class of 1983.  He worked for many years at Eastern Metal Signs & Safety in Elmira, NY, where he was a dedicated welder and valued member of the team.

Michael enjoyed long road trips, flying his drones, fishing, yard work and landscaping.  Michael will always be remembered for his sense of humor, infectious smile and big heart.

He is survived by his loving soul mate, caretaker and best friend, Kathryn Thomas; his mother, Anne Marie Stafford; brothers, Ben Stafford and David Stafford.

There will be no services as per Michael’s request.
