Merle H. Green Jr.

Merle H. Green Jr. of Coopers Plains went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2020. 

He was born February 3, 1945 in Elkland, Pennsylvania to Merle H. Green Sr. and Beatrice Green.

Merle graduated from West High School in 1964.

His work career started early, at the age of twelve he was working at the local plant nursery in Coopers Plains.  He also did carpentry for many years including building his own home in Coopers Plains.  Merle also worked at the A&P plant, YWCA and Meadowbrook Apartments.

He served in the U.S. Army in the late 60's til the early 70's.

Merle married Linda in October 1975 in Coopers Plains.  They were married 44 wonderful years.

He loved the Lord and his church.

Merle loved being outdoors, hunting, working on vehicles and his fur babies.

He is predeceased by his father and mother, sister, Evelynn, parents-in-law, Winona and Clifford Hart, grandparents, great grandparents, son, Shane, three grandchildren and loving dog Lassie and cat Oreo.

Merle is survived by his loving wife Linda, daughter's Melinda and Shawn, son's Loren, Randy and Merle III, sister's Clarabell Hansel and Beatrice (Tom) Erwin, brothers, Robert (Sue) and Gerald, sister-in-law, Christine (Bill) Taylor, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews,

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 in Chapel Knoll Cemetery, Coopers Plains.
