Maureen Shon-Brimmer

Maureen Shon-Brimmer, born August 25, 1957, was an amazing mom, grandma, sister, aunt and friend, went to the Lord on October 2, 2023. She was a retired machinist at Dresser-Rand Co. in Painted Post, NY.

She is survived by her daughter Shannen R. Wright and husband Andrew, her grandchildren Nala Keona Wright, Kieran Paddock, Dantley Vest, Andrea Wilkerson and great-granddaughter Giuliana: three sisters, Fran Givens, Theresa (Denny) Kelley and Mary (Joe) Wallitt: two brothers, Robert (Nancy) Shon and Michael (Kathy) Shon: various nieces and nephews & her furbaby DD.  She was predeceased by her parents, husband Randy Brimmer and brother Ken Shon.

Maureen loved reading books, helping others and would give the shirt off her back to help family, friends and even strangers in need.  She enjoyed long walks, motorcycles in her younger years and competitive games of Scrabble with her sisters.  She will be incredibly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association in her name would be a wonderful way to honor her memory. At Maureen's request there will be no services.
