Mary I. Pipe, 71, of Painted Post, NY, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023, at her home.
She was born September 2, 1952, in Bath, NY, the daughter of Hugh Stafford and Doris & Carl Hadley.
Ernest and Mary I. (Stafford) Wheeler were married February 21, 1976. Ernest predeceased her September 5, 1996
David and Mary I. (Wheeler) Pipe were married April 18, 1998 in Beaver Dams. David predeceased her October 12, 2017.
Mary had worked for the John P. Eaton American Legion Post #746 as a manager. She wore many hats at the Legion from planning dinners, organizing functions as well as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was dedicated to her duties for over 20 years.
Mary liked camping, playing cards, making crafts and spending time with her family. She was a member of The Moose club and The VFW.
Mary is survived by her pride and joy poodle "Baby", her Children, Tammy Palmer of Beaver Dams, Crystal (John) Dailey) of Bath; Scott Pipe of Kansas, Tammy Pipe of Elmira; Brother, Hugh (Beverly) Stafford of Bath; several half sibilings; Grandchildren, Cheyenne (Nate) Markle, Scott Palmer Jr., David, Kaden (Maylyn) and Brianna Litreal, Felicia Andrews, Sarah Pipe, Jamie (Nick) Hopkins, Hunter Pipe; Great Grandchildren Luna, Connar, Brayden and Deklyn; several nieces and nephews; in-laws, Margaret Wheeler, Ralph (Jerry) Pipe, Neal (Dru) Pipe, Carol Youmans, Linda Bixby; and many good friends.
The family will receive friends at Acly-Stover Funeral Home, Corning, on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 12-2 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Sugar Hill Cemetery.
