Marvin D. Stuart

Marvin Douglas Stuart, 67, of Horseheads, NY passed away on November 19th, 2024 at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, in Sayre, Pennsylvania. His death came unexpectedly and tragically, leaving his loved ones reeling. Marvin was born on June 29th, 1957, in Hornell, NY to the late Roland Winfield Stuart and the late Shirley Vaudene (McIntyre) Stuart.

Marvin loved hunting, fishing, and helping anyone in any way that he could. Marvin was a family man and loved the fact that he had a son. Marvin worked for Dresser-Rand Company in Painted Post, NY for 35 years, specializing in manufacturing reciprocating compressors for the oil and gas industry. Even in his final moments, Marvin’s generosity continued, as he donated his liver and kidneys to help save the lives of others.

Marvin is survived by his son, Jonathan Douglas Stuart and Tiffany McFall; grandchildren, Podraig Michael Stuart and Giovanni Jackson Stuart; step-grandchild, Matthew Ryan Tyler; siblings, Lou Russell, Roland Stuart Sr., Gloria and Tom Jones, David Stuart Sr., Tina Stuart, Doris Stuart, Joanie Calcaterra (William Hackett), Martha and Christopher Hink, Wanda White, Terry and Debi Stuart, Kevin Stuart, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; his best friend Douglas Magee, Pastor Art Evens, and the McDonald’s and Bryne Dairy staff on Grand Central Ave in Horseheads, NY.

Marvin was predeceased by his parents and two siblings, Joyce Stuart and Baby Boy.

A Celebration of life will be held on December 20th, 2024 at 2pm at Community Wesleyan Church, 2095 Grand Central Ave, Horseheads, NY 14845.

Marvin will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and huge heart. Marvin will truly be missed.
