Marilyn Marquiss Rathmann

Marilyn Marquiss Rathmann, 92, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Corning, NY, died January 11, 2021 at Delaware Hospice in Milford, DE.

She was born in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Wiley and Malinda Marquiss. 

Marilyn met Clyde Rathmann during their freshman year at Syracuse University and they later married and settled to raise a family in Corning, NY. 

Marilyn was an avid bridge player her entire life, playing bridge both in person and online. In recent years, she also enjoyed time at the family cottage on Keuka Lake, reading, and knitting for family and friends. 

Marilyn is survived by two children, son Mark Rathmann and daughter Carol (Rathmann) Simon, in addition to several grandchildren.

Burial will be in Bath National Cemetery.
