Marie Ann Knott passed away unexpectedly on August 1, 2023, in Binghamton, NY. Marie was hit by a bus on Denison Parkway in Corning, NY when she was nine years old. She suffered a great amount of brain damage and spent the rest of her days in different facilities who could take care of her needs after the accident.   

     Marie was a bright light in any room and loved her visits with family. She loved cats, stuffed animals, coloring, and games. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her. 

     She is survived by her Mother, Rosemary Knott (Bob Vanbuskirk), Sisters, Paula (John) Personius, Roberta (John) Smith; Nieces, Bridgett and Brittany; Nephews, Jonathan and Joshua, 2 great-nieces, 4 great-nephews, and host of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins who loved her very much. She is predeceased by her Nephew, Jacob Personius; Grandparents, Dorothy Masi and Frank Cavallaro; Uncle, Vincenzo Cavallaro, and Aunt, Madelena Masi-Hemphill.

     There will be no funeral services. The family will be holding a graveside service at St. Mary's Cemetery in South Corning on Saturday,  August 12, 2023, at 10:00 am, with a luncheon to be held at the Horseheads Moose Lodge on Franklin Street after the service for anyone who would like to attend.❤ Any questions can be directed to Theresa Evans or Paula Personius.
