Margaret Kileen Rose

Margaret “Peg” Kileen (Tyler) Rose, 70, of Caton, NY passed away unexpectedly on Saturday April 8th, 2023, at home.

Although her family is deeply saddened by her passing, Peg will be remembered for her love and kindness to everyone. Peg’s home was a hub for family and friends to gather, and when walking through her door she could be found waiting at her kitchen island ready for a hug, a cup of coffee, lots of stories and laughs. Peg had a heart of gold and never missed an opportunity to tell her family she loved them.  Her son and grandson were the light of her life. Some of her favorite things to do were spending time with her family, going to the casino with her Aunt Sherry, taking day trips with any of her sisters, and eating at her favorite restaurants, especially Bob Evans, Olive Garden or Ruby Tuesday’s.

Peg was born December 17, 1952, in Sayre, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William E and Florence G (Lane)Tyler.

She had many professions throughout her life including part owner of Rose’s Disposal, Glen’s Service & Auto Sales & Glen & Peg’s Ice Cream Parlor. She worked at Corning Hospital, Toshiba and was a caregiver to many. She was retired from Corning Incorporated as an Extrusion Operator

Her memory lives on with her beloved son Larry (Victoria Sardo) Baker, her grandson Kraig (Brooke Rowe) Baker and her great grandsons, Karter and Cohen Baker, all who were very special to her. She is survived by her loving siblings, Oscar (Val) Tyler, Cindy S Pellett (Patrick), Kimberly (Charles) Baker, Ricky (Mary Ellen) Tyler, Kurina (James) Mase, Mary (Douglas) Tyler-Crout, and many nieces and nephews.

Peg was predeceased by her parents Florence and William Tyler SR, and her brothers William Tyler III and Robin Tyler.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Acly-Stover Funeral Home, 327 East Second Street, Corning, NY. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date at the convenience of the family.
