Mabel Hopkins English, 73, of Painted Post, NY, peacefully departed after battling Pancreatic Cancer, surrounded by her family.

Born on March 14, 1950, in Corning, NY, Mabel dedicated 45 years as a Registered Nurse at Corning Hospital, considering it her second home. Continuing her education, Mabel became certified as a Mammacare Specialist from the University of Florida - Mammacare Institute and as a Medical Coder from the American Association of Professional Coders in 2006. Active in her community, Mabel volunteered with organizations like RSVP Volunteer Community and the American Association of University Women. She was a past member of the Woodhull Community Church.
