Lynne F. Mason

With heavy hearts, the family of Lynne F. Mason, age 68, of Corning, New York, shares that she passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2026, as the result of a house fire at her home.

Lynne was born on July 4, 1957, in Corning, a place she called home. She was the daughter of Charles Jessup Jr. and Greta Gee. She was previously married to Donald Mason Jr., who passed before her.

In her younger years, Lynne worked at Watkins Glen International during race season. Later, she focused on her home and family. She enjoyed shopping, crafts, and spending time with her cats, as well as caring for stray animals.

Lynne is survived by her children, John (Crystal) Dailey of Bath, Nancy Calkins of Bath, Shannon Gates of Florida, and Michael Brian (Holly) Dailey of Addison; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; her sisters, Vicky Ross and Karen Quarella; and three step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, her daughter Jessica Dailey, her parents, and her brothers Edward Jessup and Charles Jessup.

A celebration of Lynne’s life will be held at a later date. In her memory, those who wish may make a donation to their local SPCA, honoring her interest in animal welfare.
