Lonny Edward Smith

Lonny E. Smith, age 47 of Elmira, NY passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022.

He was born in Corning, NY on August 5, 1974, and was the son of the late Larry E. Smith and Sharon E. Hartwell.
   
Lonny enjoyed fishing, hunting, singing Karaoke and playing guitar even if it was a right handed guitar that he had to flip it upside down to play because he was left handed.

He played in several bands including White Lightning, Shadow Walkers, Future Ghost, and Feed Back to name a few.  He loved country music and spending time camping at Sanford Lake.

Lonny is now free to play his guitar and sing his Country music with a beer in hand with his family.

Lonny is survived by his Daughters, Anastacia (Christopher) Barker, of  Arkansas and Shyila Smith of Bath NY; Sons, Aaron Smith of Odgensburg NY and Mason Smith of Wayland NY; Grandchildren, Kelly Eggers lll, Isaiah Eggers, Elizabeth, Kimiko Barker and Noah Smith; Sister’s Tracey (Frederick) Neally
and Krystal Skala; Brother, Larry William Smith; several Nieces and Nephews.

Lonny was predeceased by his father Larry Smith, mother Sharon Hartwell Smith, brother Jody Smith, niece Trisha Smith, granddaughter Faith Smith and his love Shawn Rawleigh.
   
The family would like to thank the Staff at EPC for the care, love and support that they have given Lonny and his family for the past eight years.
