Lisa Clark Obituary

Beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and veteran of Operation Desert Storm; Lisa Diane Clark, age 54, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at home.

She was born December 15, 1969, to her mother Edith A. Hoover and her father Keith E. Hoover Sr.

Lisa was a 1987 graduate of Odessa-Montour Central School District and attended Corning Community College.  After graduation she enlisted in the U.S. Army and later the Army Reserves serving eight years. On September 18th, she would have celebrated her 14th Wedding Anniversary with the love of her life, Dean M. Clark.

She was a woman who dedicated her life to protecting our freedoms, to serving our country, and to upholding our values. She was a woman of strength, of bravery, but also of kindness and compassion. She was a woman who believed in duty, in honor, and in sacrifice.

Years spent working in the hospitality industry, she had an affectious personality and ability to make all those around her laugh. She was currently working in Hospitality at the Staybridge Suites Corning.

At a young age, Lisa developed a love for animals. She pursued her passion working at the Humane Society of Schuyler County.  She was a fun, loving and bubbly person.  If you knew Lisa, you knew she was a wisecracker always trying to make you laugh.

She is survived by her loving and adoring husband Dean Clark of Corning, NY, her beloved son who was the light of her life Nicholas Rumsmoke (Brianna) of Watkins Glen, NY, her parents Keith and Edith Hoover Sr. of Surprise, AZ and brother Keith Hoover Jr. also of Surprise, AZ, many aunts, uncles and cousins.  She leaves behind her loving and faithful dogs Lexi and Chloe, as well as her cat Olive.

A Celebration of life for Lisa will be held later at the convenience of the family.  She loved animals of all kinds, and so her family requests that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to your local Humane Society.
