Leanora Mae Hoyt

Leanora Mae Hoyt, age 95, of Corning, NY left this earth on her heavenly journey to join loved ones on Saturday, November 5, 2022.

She was born September 19, 1927, in Niles Valley, Pennsylvania to Merle Davis and Mary Jane Thompson. 

Leanora was a beautiful, loving and caring friend to many.  She always wanted to help others. She enjoyed her time working at the Triangle Shoes. She also enjoyed going to the Music In The Park on Saturday’s in Addison, NY when she was in better health and able to go.  She especially loved going out for ice cream whenever possible. She enjoyed bowling and weekly league at the bowling alley, crocheting, needle point and making all kinds of crafts.

Leanora is survived by her Son Mike Hoyt; Daughters Norma (Terry) Hoch; Grandchildren, Terry Lee Dutton, Michael Hoyt and Andrew Hoyt; Great Grandchildren, Kyra (William) VanWinkle, Autumn Dutton, Katie Tostanoski, Dakota Tostanoski, Sarah Hoyt and Kyra Diane; two Great Great Grandchildren, Brother Arnold (Nina) Davis; several Nieces, Nephews and long time caring and loving friend who she thought of as a daughter, Peggy Clark.  She was predeceased by her parents, husband Allen Hoyt and sister Francis Gurnsey.

Funeral Services will be held at Acly-Stover Funeral Home, 327 E. 2nd St., Corning on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 1:00 p.m.  Committal prayers and Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
