Obituary
Laura Clark Armistead, age 84, of Horseheads, NY, died Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Bethany Village in Horseheads. Laura was born on November 14, 1938, in Corning, NY.
She is the daughter of Laurence McChesney Clark and Ruth E. Wheaton.
Laura grew up in Corning, NY, where she was a proud member of the Hornby Congregational Church for many years.
Laura graduated from Corning Northside Blodgett High School (Class of 1956). She received her bachelor’s degree in 1960, and furthered her education receiving her master’s degree in 1964, from SUNY Geneseo. From 1964 until 1994, Laura taught seventh and eighth grade Science and Health classes at Horseheads Central High School.
Laura is survived by her husband of 43 years, John E. Armistead of Horseheads, NY.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Corning, NY. Instead of flowers, condolences and memories can be mailed to her husband at: 4 Cortland Lane, Horseheads, NY 14845.
