Kevin Wayne Hoagland

Kevin Wayne Hoagland, 54, of Corning, NY passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at home. 

Kevin was born June 20, 1966 in Bath, NY the son of LeRoy Hoagland and Grace Barnard Matwiejow.  

Kevin was a 1985 graduate of Bradford Central High School and attended Corning Community College. 

Kevin grew up spending his days at Lamoka Lake where he developed his love for swimming and scuba diving.  He made lifelong relationships at the lake over the years with people that came and went.   

Kevin enjoyed all things old and never grew out of his love for the Renaissance time period and thus created quite a collection that he enjoyed showing off.  He enjoyed all sorts of games and even more so sharing his love of them with friends.  He developed many friendships through them as well.  

Kevin loved his family and never missed a gathering where he also enjoyed his love of food. 

Although Kevin was not affiliated with any particular church, he was very clear that he not only knew and loved the Lord, he accepted him as his Lord and Savior. 

Kevin is survived by his Mother, Grace Matwiejow, Siblings, Bradley (Linda) Hoagland, Reagan (Paul) Matwiejow, Christopher Matwiejow, Matt (Sara) Matwiejow, Lou Matwiejow, Georgiann (George) Cratsley and several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.  

A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Barnard Cemetery, West Caton Road, Corning, NY. 

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
