Joseph F. Parrillo, age 62, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2024, with his family lovingly by his side.
Born April 11, 1961, to Daniel and Martha (Blodgett) Parrillo, Joe lived his rambunctious young life in Corning, NY with his five siblings Daniel, Gerald, Jack, Tommy, Mary, friends nearby and his Pine Hill Crew friends.
Joe was a graduate of Corning East High School, (Class of 1979). During his time in high school, he developed a love and passion for sports. He became an All STC Football player and was a 3-year letterman in football. Following high school, he joined Corning Incorporated and continued his work as a Supervisor Assistant.
Over the years Joe loved playing softball. He coached Corning Little League, Corning Small Fry Football and even won a Toughman Contest. He was an avid golfer, he enjoyed spending time at the Casino watching the horse races and was a social member of the Corning American Legion.
Joe was strong-willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, and brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of his life experiences. He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them and if you knew him, you knew it. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him. He will be missed dearly by his family and many, many friends.
