Joseph M. Nares

Joseph M. Nares, 59, formerly of Corning, NY, passed away suddenly on June 21, 2022, at his home in The Villages, FL.

Joe was born September 16, 1962, in Corning, NY, and was the son of Joseph F. and Carolyn J. Nares.

He was a graduate of Corning East High School in 1980.  He graduated from Corning Community College and SUNY at Oswego with his degree in Education.  He earned his Master’s Degree in Education from The College at Saint Rose in Albany, NY.  Joe was a Teacher in the Gloversville School District for 30 years before retiring at 55 years of age.

Joe married Susan Inman in 1989 and together they raised 3 beautiful daughters in Gloversville, NY.  They moved to The Villages, Florida in 2019 and were really enjoying their retirement together.  He really loved playing softball in the League at The Villages!

Joe is survived by his wife of 33 years, Susan, and his 3 daughters, Keelin Nares of New Orleans, LA, Abigail (Jonathan) Nares-Yanez of St. Petersburg, FL, and Alexandra Nares of The Villages, FL, his Sister, Elizabeth Nares of Farmington, NY, Brother, Steven Nares, of Corning, and Niece, Gabrielle Nares of Corning.  He is also survived by several Sister and Brother In-Laws, Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Joe was predeceased by his Parents, Brother, Timothy J. Nares, Maternal Grandparents, Joseph and Daphne Brouneus, Paternal Grandparents, William and Elizabeth Nares, and his In-Laws, Ronald and Nancy Inman.

Joe was a wonderful Father, Husband, Son, Brother, and Friend to many.  He will surely be missed by all who knew and loved him!
