Joanne M. Humphrey

It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Joanne Humphrey, who departed this life peacefully on June 30, 2025, at the age of 82.

Joanne was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her life was a testament to compassion, resilience, and grace, and she touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born in Corning, NY on April 29th, 1943, to Rose Pisegi (Calo) and Paul Simonson, Joanne dedicated her life to caring for others, whether through her work, her friendships, or her family. 

Joanne is predeceased by both her parents, her step father George Calo, sister Patti Sauve, and niece Erin Calo.

Joanne’s legacy will live on through her children, Sharon Holden, David Holden, Debra Snyder, and Crystal Watson; her grandchildren, Sara (Onnie) Constable, Brian Snyder, Kayleigh (Kyle) Morton, Andrew Roy, Mattie Roy (Brian Picarillo), and great grandchildren, Juliana Constable, Aidan Constable, and Gabriella Snyder; sister Bonnie (Danny) Donegan, brother Tom Calo, several cousins, nieces and nephews, who carry her memory in their hearts. 

She leaves behind a community forever shaped by her love and generosity, remembered as the mom and grandma to everyone around her. She welcomed her children's and grandchildren's friends into her life and home as if they were her own. Always with a kitchen full of homemade food, no one ever left hungry. She enjoyed quilting and gifting her creations with those she loved, gardening and tending to her roses, and never missed a good estate sale. She always loved a good Yankees game, and attended as many sporting events of her great grandchildren's, cheering and correcting umpire calls. 

At her request, there are to be no calling hours or burial services. A mass at St Mary's Church will be held at a later date.

Joanne Humphrey will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.
