Joan H. Jacobs

Joan H. Jacobs, 88, of Painted Post, NY, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at the Steuben Center, Bath.

She was born September 2, 1932, in Jewett City, Connecticut, the daughter of Raymond and Doris (Hall) Gottschalk.

Ted and Joan H. Gottschalk were married December 30, 1948, in Norwich, Conn.  He predeceased her May 29, 2015.

Joan was a teaching assistant for the Campbell-Savona Central School District. She was a member of the Painted Post Baptist Church and the Coopers Plains Long Acres Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her Sons, David (Ciria) Jacobs of Fresno, CA and Dan (Ruth) Jacobs of Rochester; Daughter, Deborah (David) Bates of Bath; 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made to Paradise Garden Animal Haven or the CPLA Volunteer Fire Department.
