Jesse Hastings

Jesse Hastings of Corning NY passed away peacefully on June 28, 2024 at Corning Center at the age of 86.

He was born on August 29, 1937, in Troupsburg, NY to Edgar and Violet Hastings. He  attended Troupsburg Schools and went on to work his entire career as a mechanic at Ingersoll/Dresser Rand in Painted Post for 45 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and driving race cars at Woodhull Raceway.

Jesse is survived by his wife Norma Hastings also of Corning Centers, daughter Deborah Gerritz (Peter), son Donald Hastings (Louise),his sister Joyce Reeves; and grandchildren Donald Hastings Jr, Jessica Hastings, Brandon Gerritz, and Nicole Gerritz.  He was preceded in death by his parents Violet Hastings and Edger Hastings, sisters Jocelyn Winkler and Rosemary Goforth.

Burial will be made at Hope Cemetery in Corning NY.
