Genevieve Lanager

Painted Post, NY - Genevieve (Genny) Lanager, passed away, Friday, March 23, 2018, at home surrounded by her family.

Born September 29, 1918, the daughter of Thomp and Rachel (Kettle) Huggins on the Clendenning Creek Road, Presho, NY. Genny and Al Lanager were married June 21, 1947, in Corning.

Genny worked for many years at the Montour Restaurant in Painted Post for Holly and Ida Law. She also babysat for many families over the years. She loved every one of them and was so happy to have any one of them to come up to her and visit in a store or any place.

Al predeceased her on October 18, 1998. To them were born five children, Jerry (Roxanne) Lanager, Gayle Robbins, Marlene (Hank) Beck, Dean Lanager, Carolee (Ray Townsend) Brennan; Step Daughter, Beverly Harrison, her grandchildren, Toni (Mike) Dobek, Sarah (J.J.) Fedelli ,Michael (Heather) Riff, Julie (Bruce) Payne, Joe Hunt, Melanie Rose, Geoffrey Lanager, Ryan Brennan, Tyler Brennan and Shelby Brennan. She had many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her step daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Dick Galusha and son-in-law, De Los Harrison.

Genny wants family and friends to gathering at Chapel Knoll Cemetery, Coopers Plains, NY, on Friday, March 30, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jimmy Krouse officiating.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Friday March 30, 2018, at The Moose Club, Painted Post, NY.

Memorial donations in Genny's name may be made to the charity of one's choice.
