Franco Iannarilli of Corning, NY passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024. After a year of fighting so hard not to leave the ones that loved him, sadly Franco passed away at the age of 58 from cancer.
He was born September 16, 1965, in Corning, NY the son of Frank Iannarilli and Shirley (Carson) Iannarilli.
Franco was a graduate of West High School. After graduating he worked for Sysco Food Services in Horseheads. He currently managed his several rental properties.
Franco is survived by his sister Maria Hopkins, nephew Christopher Carrier, niece Callista Carrier and her children Anastasia and Alexander, aunts Lucia Stirpe, Giovanna Mattia and Beverly Brown and many cousins. He had many cherished friends and his devoted companion, his cat Hop’e. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Shirley; grandparents, Guido and Elvira Iannarilli and Truman and Margaret Carson; brother-in-law, Craig Hopkins; uncles, Hugh and Owen Knowles, Herminio, Arduino, Antonio Iannarilli, and aunt Lidia Cruz.
Franco loved attending concerts and enjoyed listening to the local and far away bands. He was a lifelong collector of many items. He saw something special in every find. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved his vacations in Maine. Mostly, he cherished the time spent with friends living life to its fullest. In the hearts of those that loved you, you will always be there with us.
At Franco’s request there will be no services. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in the family plot to be held at a later date.
