Floyd Canfield, 81, of Corning, NY passed away peacefully Thursday, September 2, 2021 at home.
Floyd was born on August 15, 1940. He was predeceased by his Father Clifford Canfield, Mother Edna (Bierwiller) Canfield, Brothers Fred, Frank and baby son Frank John Canfield.
Floyd retired from Town of Erwin after 24 years of service. He also worked as a construction Forman for Bob Hooey for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and Sunday drives looking at wildlife. He loved his time at the casino trying his luck. He would never miss his Tuesday morning coffee at the Erwin Water Treatment Plant with his very special friends Twig, Woody, Jim and Charlie.
Floyd is survived by his loving Wife Lenora Canfield of Corning; Daughter Tammy Austin of Corning, NY; Sons Tim (Sylvia) Canfield of Big Flats, NY and Todd (Imma) Canfield of Baltimore, MD; Randy Swan of Lindley, NY and Nichole Swan of Corning, NY the children of Lenora; Grandchildren, Jennifer (Nick) Wenck of Corning, NY; Erin (Dave) Celej of NC; Drew (Skyler Canfield of Canandaigua, NY, MaryBeth, Mckenzie and Cody Austin all of Corning; Great Grandchildren, Chloe, Lucy, Grayson, Michael, Schylar and Ethan.
