Faith Marilyn (Barnes) Morrissey

With sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mom, Faith Marilyn (Barnes) Morrissey, on October 11, 2025, at the age of 86. Mom was a lifelong resident of Binghamton, N.Y.

She was predeceased by Thomas J. Morrissey, the father of her children, her daughter Connie Morrissey, and John E. Basa, Sr. her partner of 29 years.

She is survived by her loving children Laura (David) Blockburger, Linda (Bryan) Bazewick, Lilah Barbera and John Morrissey, along with her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins and dear lifelong friend, Mary Sinander.

The family wishes to give special thanks to her daughter Lilah and family friend Lisa Pilotti, whose care and support allowed Mom to live independently until the last couple of months of her life. Heartfelt gratitude is also extended to the staff and volunteers of Mercy House of the Southern Tier for their care and compassion during her final weeks.

The family will receive friends at the Church of St. John and Andrew, 1263 Vestal Ave., Binghamton, NY, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Sanitaria Springs Cemetery at the family’s convenience in the near future.
