Eva J. Smith

Painted Post, NY - Eva J. Smith, 77, of Painted Post, NY, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Absolut Care of Three Rivers surrounded by her family.

She was born July 4, 1940 in Dix, NY, the daughter of Bradford and Rosetta (Woodcock) Allen.

Eva was a loving and devoted mother of four. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Eva worked several years as a security guard for Dresser-Rand prior to her retirement.

She is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Debbie) Smith of Savona, Sherry (Nick) Cavallaro of Corning, Brenda (Bernard) Reagan of Painted Post and Kelly (James Coles III) Smith of Sayre, PA; Brothers, Milton (Dawn) Allen of NC and Stanley (Connie) Allen of NC; Sisters, Coralee (John) Lane of Corning, Virginia Taft of Thurston and Donna Coupe of Corning; 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her loving companion Paul Dibble, and a nephew, Shawn Lane.

The family will receive friends at Acly-Stover Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Committal prayers and interment will be in Rural Home Cemetery, Big Flats, NY.
