Eric F. Wright

Eric Francis Wright, 28 of Corning, New York, passed away unexpectedly on October 28, 2022.

Eric was born on April 1, 1994 to Tracey Neally and Dean Wright in Elmira, NY.

He received his education through Corning East High School, as well as, the high school Learning Center. He learned how to blow glass and made some gorgeous pieces during his time working on that career path at CMOG. He may have had many careers in life but he was good at everything.

Eric always had a way of making people smile and he gave the best hugs. He was one of a kind and will forever be in our hearts.  He has an amazing son and family who loved him. He loved to play guitar when he had the chance and he spent a lot of time learning to work on cars with his dad growing up. Eric loved any of the children that came into his life whether they were biological or not. He was kind, respectful and always there when you needed him to be. Eric loved going to concerts and taking photos of everything.  

Eric is predeceased by his grandparents Linda Wright, Duane Wright, Larry Smith, Sharron Smith, Judy Neally and James Neally, his uncles Jody Smith, and Lonny Smith, his sister Trisha Smith and some beloved others. 

He is survived by his parents Tracey Neally (Fred Neally) of Corning, NY, and Dean Wright of Addison, NY. His son Xzavion and a little girl he loved like his own Lilliana O'Brian of Texas. His siblings Alexzandria Wright of Addison, NY, Wyatt Neally of Corning, NY, Amy Smith (Kevin Simpson) of Bath, NY, Sarah Wright of Corning, NY, Zachary Wood (Trixie), Clarissa Wood of Wellsboro, PA, Jessica (Matt) Meyer and Amber Groff (Brandon Groff), his step siblings of Cheyanne (Cassidy) Santos of Waverly, NY, Joshua Root of Hornell, NY, Zoey Root of Hornell, NY, Jasmine Root of Addison, NY, Kristy Neally of Corning, NY, Fredrick Neally of Corning NY, and Amanda Neally of Syracuse, NY. His nieces and nephews Aeneas Wright, Mayah Santos, Mathew Meyer, Ida Meyer, Ethan Groff, Olivia Groff, Kayla Wilson, Chelsea Wilson, Layla Wood and Lief Root, as well as, his many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the Corning Salvation Army, 32 Denison Parkway E., Corning, NY 14830.  Please enter from the back of the building.
