Emma A. Wilson

Emma A. Wilson, 92, of Corning, NY passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024 at home surround by her family.

Emma was born August 31,1931 in Corning the daughter of George E. and Helen L. (Jones) Canfield.

She dedicated her life to her family and home.

Emma enjoyed making crafts, gardening and growing flowers. She loved baking and cake decorating. She made many cakes for her family celebrations.  Mostly, Emma loved her family and enjoyed the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her children, Myron (Katy) Wilson Jr., of Corning, Sherry (Harold) Sankey of Corning, Karen (James) Ellis of Holland, MI, Dale (Daniel) Phillips of Melissa, TX, Dennis (Robin) Wilson of Roaring Branch, PA, Penny (John) Rader of Corning and Melvin Sankey of Corning; daughter-in-law, Dawn Wilson of Corning; 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Jackson.  She was predeceased by her husband, Myron Wilson Sr., son Rodney Wilson and grandson Dennis Wilson Jr., also 7 brothers.

The family will receive friends at Acly-Stover Funeral Home on Monday, July 1, 2024 from 4-6 p.m. and Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 10-11 a.m.  Funeral services will follow calling hours at 11:00 a.m. with Paul Wilson Jr. and Daniel Phillips officiating.  Emma will be buried next to her husband in Rural Home Cemetery, Big Flats, NY.
