Elwood L. Miller Jr.

Elwood LaRue Miller Jr., 69, of Painted Post, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Corning Rehabilitation Center after complications from an infection.

He was born on March 16, 1957, and lived a life filled with love, service, and devotion to his family.

He is survived by his wife of more than 30 years, Nancy Miller; his daughter, Jessica DuBois, his beloved grandchildren Addisyn Hinkle and Jonathan Hinkle; and his siblings Larry, Darrell, Elaine, Leo, Debbie, and Sharon. He also leaves behind his two cherished cats, Lulu and Pumpkin.

Elwood proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for eight years, traveling the world before returning home to work more than 30 years at Guthrie Corning Hospital.

He loved fishing, traveling, animals, and especially spending time with his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services. Donations in his memory may be made to your local SPCA.
