Elizabeth A. Thrower

Horseheads, NY - Elizabeth "Betsy" A. Thrower, 69, of Horseheads, NY went to be with her Lord on Friday, March 9, 2018, at Guthrie Corning Hospital.

She was born April 8, 1948, in Williamsport, PA the daughter of Elmer and Alice (Porter) Moore.

Jesse C. Thrower Sr. and Betsy were married January 7, 1967, in Williamsport, PA.

She worked the switchboard at Corning Hospital for many years.

Betsy is survived by her Husband, Jesse C. Thrower Sr. of Horseheads; Children, Rodney (Christie) Thrower of Eugene, Oregon, Jesse (Jacquelyn) Thrower Jr. of Midlothian, VA, Melanie Thrower of Corning and Marissa Thrower of Beaver Dams; Sister, Jennifer (Donald Smith) Moore Smith of Williamsport, PA; Grandchildren, Jurell, Alex, Dylan, Jazlinn and Tacarria. She was predeceased by a brother, Stanley Moore.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 16, 2018, at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Nathaniel Wright and Rev. Pamela Porter Officiating.

Memorial donations in Betsy's name may be made to the Guthrie Cancer Center at Corning Hospital.
