David L. Miller, age 67, of Horseheads, NY passed away Monday, August 29, 2022 at home with his family by his side.
He was born August 12, 1955 in Corning, NY the son of Ralph D. and Esther E. (Runyon) Miller.
David graduated from Corning-Painted Post East High School in 1973 and earned an Associates Degree from Corning Community College.
He worked at Corning Agway for many years, was owner/operator of Vortex Video and Miller‘s Small Engine Service, and retired from Southern Tier Hardware in Elmira, NY.
David was a past volunteer firefighter at the East Corning Fire Department for 16 years, serving part of that time as an officer. He was also involved in scouting for many years.
He was a classic car enthusiast who enjoyed working on his cars and taking them to car shows. He also enjoyed traveling and camping, especially fishing trips to the family cottage in Canada.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne (Allis) Miller of Horseheads; sons, Ryan Miller of Richmond, VA and Gregory Miller of Elmira; NY; sister, Barbara Simcoe of AZ and brother, Clifford (Pauline) Miller of Corning, NY; niece, Heather Honce, and great nephew, Alexander Honce. He is also survived by 7 step-siblings and many cousins. He was pre-deceased by his parents Ralph and Esther (Runyon) Miller and step-mother, Agnes Price Miller.
The family will receive friends at Acly-Stover Funeral Home on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. and Friday, September 2, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Corning.
