David Charles Cook, age 51, of Pine City, NY passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021.
He was born February 22, 1970 in Wellsboro, PA. He was the son of John R. Cook Sr. and Marguerite A. Thompson who he was predeceased by.
He served 4 years in the Army National Guard. He was a former Captain of the South Corning Fire Department as well as an honorary member of the Auxiliary.
He had a life long passion for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors, but the most special thing in his life were his daughters and their shared love of softball. He was a coach, mentor, and inspiration to all others for over 15 years. He was tough and competitive, always leaving an unforgettable impact wherever he went. He was humorous and loved each girl on and off the field as his own. David was known as the loudest teddy bear around. He made sure that every life that entered his, knew they were important and he was forever proud of his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Angela M. Cook, daughters Skylar, Sienna Cook and grandson Braxtyn Mahnke. Also, mother and father in law Kim and Kurtis Loud, brother in law Joshua Loud (Heather Loud), brother in law Dana Loud (Carrie Vooght). Several nieces and nephews. Cousin Carrie Unrue (Tony Unrue) and family. Unbiological brother Jason Loscig (Traci Knapp) and unbiological sister Becky Wheaton (Mike Moore) and nephew Christopher Brockway Jr.
The family will receive friends and family at Acly-Stover Funeral Home on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. and 5-6:30 p.m. A private service will be held at the discretion of the family.
As all are welcomed, we will be adhering to New York State regulations for social distancing and attendance regulations.
