Brent Michael Pryslopski Obituary

Brent Michael Pryslopski, age 37, of Corning, NY, passed away unexpectedly at his home, leaving behind a profound sense of loss and a community forever changed by his absence. Though his life was far too short, Brent’s impact on those who knew and loved him will endure.

Brent was born on July 26, 1988, in Corning, NY, the son of Michael S. Pryslopski and Anna Marie Tostanoski. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a graduate of West High School and remained deeply connected to his hometown and the people within it.

Above all else, Brent was a devoted father whose daughters were the center of his world. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Ellen Pryslopski and Glenorah Pryslopski, who were the greatest source of his pride, joy, and purpose. Brent is also survived by his wife, Christa (Robinson) Pryslopski; his father, Michael (Mary) Pryslopski; his mother, Anna Marie (Reginald) Tostanoski; his maternal grandparents, Ken and Virginia Mapes; along with many extended family members and friends who were blessed to know him.

Brent was predeceased by his beloved baby son, Hudson. Though Hudson’s life was brief, Brent carried him forever in his heart, and the love he held for his son remained a quiet and constant part of who he was.

Brent was a barber by trade, but more importantly, he was a people person. He had a genuine love for his work and took great pride in his craft, valuing not just the haircut, but the conversations, laughter, and connections that came with it. For many, a visit with Brent was as much about feeling heard and welcomed as it was about sitting in his chair. He later brought that same warmth, dedication, and sincerity to his work as a licensed real estate sales agent with Howard Hanna in Elmira, NY.

A man of strong community ties, Brent was a proud member of the Corning Elks Lodge #1071, the Corning Masonic Lodge, and All Saints Parish, where he attended St. Mary’s Church. His faith, friendships, and service to others were meaningful parts of his life.

Brent had a natural gift for conversation and an ability to make people feel instantly at ease. He loved music and could often be found playing his guitar, enjoying time outdoors fishing, or engaging in thoughtful and passionate discussions about politics and the world around him. His humor, kindness, and unmistakable presence left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

Brent’s passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and community. He will be remembered for his loving heart, his generous spirit, and the way he showed up for others. Though he was taken far too soon, his memory will live on through the lives he touched and the love he shared.
