Beverly E. Javert

South Corning, NY - Beverly E. Javert, 76, of South Corning, NY, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Arnot Hospital.

She was born May 13, 1941, in Montour Falls, NY, the daughter of Max C. and Florence L. (Doane) Black Sr.

Beverly and Donald A. Javert, married on March 25th, 1969, just celebrated their 49th Wedding anniversary.

Beverly worked for Corning Inc., Miller's Pancake House, Corning Museum of Glass Café, and was a licensed Respit Caregiver.

Beverly, a member of the Woman's traveling bowling league & National 600 bowling club and also was inducted into the Corning Woman's Bowling Hall of Fame. She also enjoyed serving in many positions for the Corning Bowling Leagues.

A proud lifetime member of the South Corning Fire Department's Auxiliary, South Corning United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed playing guitar and singing, her annual May garage sale, playing cards and was an avid flower and garden grower with her husband Don sharing their "Garden Goodies" stand with the neighborhood.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and best friend to everyone. She was always helping where ever she could, needed or not, lending a helping hand and even money to those in need.

Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Don Javert of South Corning, NY; Children, Diane M.(Joseph) Brownell of Lindley, NY. Susan E.Travis of Horseheads, NY and Andrew Scott (Lorie) Woodruff of Hornby, NY; Brother, Melvin Tyler of LA; Sisters, Sylvia Wedmore of AZ and Velma (William) Warner of FL; Grandchildren, Nikki Brownell, Joseph Brownell, Jr, Chad Burgess, Amanda Trewer, Mallory Clancy, Bryan Clancy, Jonas Fratarcangelo, Anne Fratarcangelo, and many Great grandchildren and 1 Great Great grandchild.

She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Max C. Black Jr., great grandson Daniel J. Briggs and granddaughter Stephanie A. Pierce.

The family will receive friends at Acly-Stover Funeral Home on Monday, April 23, 2018, from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Patrick Holder officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Corning, NY at the family's convenience.
