Betty J. Hooper

Corning, NY - Betty Jean Tietje Hooper (Mick) age 86 of Corning went to be with the Lord on January 16, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 25, 1931 to the late Lillian and Alvin Tietje, she was pre-deceased by her brother Alvin (June) Tietje and sister-in-law Leah Tietje.

Betty worked for the Corning Painted Post School District as a bus driver for over 30 Years.

Betty loved gardening, rummage sales and spending time with her family and friends. She took special pride in her beautiful Christmas decorations.

Betty is survived by her loving and devoted family: son Robert and Deb Hooper, grandsons Jamie (Erin) of Joppa, Maryland; Jason (Yoko) of Seattle, Washington; Jeff (Amanda) of Halthorpe, Maryland and Jesse (Melanie) of Knik, Alaska; brother Edwin (Donna) Tietje of Caton, New York; nephews Edwin Tietje (Laura) of Duncannon, Pennsylvania; Steve Tietje (Yolanda) of Lindley, New York; John Tietje of York, Pennsylvania; Niece Kim Clark(Patrick) of Lindley, New York; several great grandchildren, many great nieces, nephews some very special friends.

At Betty's request there will be no services.
