Arlene G. Burlingame of Lindley, New York, passed away peacefully at home on April 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 5, 1931, in Corning, New York, to Louis D. and Alice M. (Share) Keeney.
Arlene spent 36 years as a hostess at the Holiday Inn in Painted Post, where her kindness, warm smile, and genuine care for others made everyone feel welcome. She was also a proud member of the Corning American Legion.
Arlene found happiness in the simple and meaningful things in life. She loved puzzles, reading, sewing, and especially gardening with Gerry. A devoted homemaker, she expressed her love through her baking and cooking, always making sure her family was cared for and well fed. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and togetherness.
More than anything, Arlene deeply loved her family. She treasured every moment spent with them, whether on outings or in quiet times at home. She had a lighthearted spirit, a gentle way about her, and a heart full of generosity. She would give anything she had to help someone in need, always putting others before herself.
Arlene is lovingly survived by her children: Gerry (Jacob) Burlingame of Lindley, Sandra Burlingame of Corning, and Joseph D. Burlingame of Painted Post; her brother, Richard D. Keeney of Corning; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
She was reunited in rest with her husband Joseph I Burlingame, beloved daughter, Pamela Burlingame; her son-in-law, Michael Campbell; and her special friend, Ron Tosley.
At Arlene’s request, there will be no services.
Her love, kindness, and the beautiful memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
