C. Faulisi Obituary

Vincent C. Faulisi, 78, of Lakeland, Florida, formerly of Corning, NY, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018.

Vince was the second of four sons born July 2nd, 1939 in Corning, NY to A. Joseph and Abigail (Dull) Faulisi. He married Suzanne Williams on September 17th, 1971. Then he married her again on June 4th, 1977. They renewed their vows on their 35th wedding anniversary with Fr. Phil presiding. He knew he had a good thing going, and he wasn't taking any chances.

Vince graduated from Northside High School in 1957. He sought adventure and life experience, so he drove to California, where he worked for the Pacific Telephone Company. He came back to Corning to be near his family, and because he was sick of eating avocados. After his return, Vince worked his way through Corning Community College, earning his Associate's Degree in Business. He worked in the credit and collection department at Ingersoll Rand for many years, then began a career in the insurance industry. He very much enjoyed working for Bob and Floyd English at Corning-Painted Post Insurance Company, becoming great friends with them both. Vince retired in 2001. He was a parishioner of the Corning-Painted Post Roman Catholic Community and St. Joseph's of Lakeland Florida.

Vince was an amazing, outgoing, and passionate man. He was the loudest, most exuberant fan at his children's events, always very proud of their accomplishments. He loved to golf, go for motorcycle rides, lounge in his pool, or simply sit by his pool and read. He also loved to take pictures and videos, and was hired to videotape several weddings in the area. He was a master of many things. He was a fix-it man, an advisor, and a great conversationalist. He was proficient at the art of arguing, and passed that skill on to his children. His grandchildren are quickly becoming adept as well. He adored his wife, who took care of him through sickness and in health. He loved to tell stories and show pictures of things that he

enjoyed. He often said what was on his mind, even if it may not have always been accurate or appropriate. He and Suzanne were very supportive of all of their children and taught them invaluable skills. He was thrilled to have four grandchildren, and looked forward to his FaceTime chats with them. His sage advice will be missed.

Vince is survived by his wife of 46 years, Suzanne; children, Teresa (Marie Ortega), Amy Methven (Jeff), and Joseph (Jolene); grandchildren, Aubrie, Ian, and Logan Methven, and Reese Faulisi; brothers Richard (Helene), Francis (Liz), and Ronnie (Dee); several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in-law, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents A. Joe and Abby. He also leaves behind many dear friends, old and new.
